Entry Level/Oil Change Technician

Job summary

Mysticchamber is seeking a dedicated automotive technician to join our service team. You will follow repair orders, perform oil and filter changes, inspect fluids, check tires, and coordinate with parts to complete repairs in a fast-paced shop.

You will diagnose and repair engine and system issues, communicate with the Service Advisor, provide time estimates, and ensure work meets warranty standards. A high school diploma and clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair orders following dealership standards
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount; replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Maintain accountability for dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C
• Inform Service Advisor of additional services needed and provide time estimates
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed

Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
