Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services across our hospital system. You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize functional outcomes.

The role requires Maryland licensure, a Master’s degree, and BLS certification. You’ll contribute to education efforts and participate in performance improvement to enhance patient care

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Bachelor’s accepted if licensed prior to 2008.
• One year of experience required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Maryland.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to access, review, and integrate information to develop treatment plans.
• Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy services per standards and policies.
• Conducts patient assessments and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Documents evaluations and care in the medical record.
• Communicates results and plan to patients, families, and team.
• Plans therapy education and provides counseling to individuals.
• Mentors and trains clinical team members or students as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests changes.
• Reports issues to leadership and supports resolution.
• Delivers patient-centered care with excellent service.
