Job summary

Acuren is seeking Entry Level NDT Assistants to support operations in Decatur, IL. This embedded role involves assisting in calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, assisting radiographers, recording inspection results, and performing related tasks. Candidates should have a high school diploma, some college preferred, and be able to pass client-required drug, background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college is preferred.
• Technical background is desirable.
• Must pass background check per federal and state regulations.
• Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG/ALCOHOL AND BACKGROUND PER CLIENT REQUIREMENTS.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures and related tasks
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
