Job summary

CACI has an immediate opening for an Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean Engineer to support Submarine Rescue and Undersea Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME.

Responsibilities include developing modernization plans, performing structural and thermal analyses, evaluating components for integration, and occasional travel. Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress, etc.
• Experience with configuration management and document control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
• Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop modernization plans/changes for the US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis.
• Evaluate components and materials and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility and stability.
• Some travel will be required.
• Work will be in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles or Deep Submergence projects.
