Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking an Entry Level Miner to launch a career in mining operations and maintenance. This role develops into a Production Miner or Fuel / Lube Technician, emphasizing safe production and strong teamwork.

The candidate will learn to inspect equipment, identify hazards, and support training and regulatory compliance while embracing Turner values and supporting site leadership.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to adhere to OSHA / MSHA regulatory requirements.
• Subject to a six-month probationary period from date of hire.
• 0-1 years’ experience in mining / heavy industry preferred.
• Ability to obtain a working knowledge of safety systems and processes.
• Appropriate attention to detail required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exemplary attendance and safety records.
• Willingness to be flexible on daily job duties.

Responsibilities

• Work with employees to ensure high accuracy and engagement on hazard identification and control.
• Engage crews and leadership to define processes that motivate working toward common goals.
• Assist with MSHA regulatory task training and verify compliance to standards.
• Live Turner values as part of daily decision-making.
• Participate in risk assessment processes at various organizational levels.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in machines and work areas.
• Train to Turner standards to perform pre-operation inspections and to document training checklists.
• Contribute to safety and near-miss reporting and follow-up.
