Job summary

Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP Building Solutions) is seeking a Utility to support mill operations, perform daily maintenance, and clean equipment. The role covers coverage for employee absences and PTO while upholding safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include baghouse upkeep, embossing plate cleaning, wash-downs, general cleanup, screen cleaning, and documenting eyewash inspections.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn general plant cleanup and utility tasks.
• Ability to read and follow General Plant Rules.
• Ability to read and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and at heights.
• Ability to wear a respirator when required.

Responsibilities

• Train to support and provide coverage across all areas of the mill.
• Maintain and assist with baghouse bag changeouts for units #1, #2, #4, #5, #8, #9, and the McConnel Baghouse.
• Clean embossing plates and mesh pads to ensure proper equipment performance.
• Perform wash-down activities between buildings as needed.
• Carry out general cleanup and utility tasks daily as directed by the Supervisor.
• Screen cleaning; Clean scuppers; eyewash station inspections.
• Perform other duties to support mill operations and follow safety rules.
