Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an assembler to build metal components for HVAC and industrial equipment in a hands-on bench and shop-floor role. You will read simple instructions, assemble parts, and ensure units pass final inspection.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and basic math skills, with the ability to use drills and hand tools and to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal parts according to unit being assembled.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners.
• Operates drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and hand tools.
• Produces a completed unit capable of passing final inspection.
