Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking an Assembly I for the 1st shift in Durham, NC. This entry-level role involves building subassemblies and integrating mechanical and electrical components into finished products, following SOPs and work instructions.

The position is a 12-month contract on W2 for US Citizens, GC holders, or eligible visa status, with a 40-hour workweek and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. schedule. Overtime may be required and reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and assembly drawings.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform simple calculations.
• Effective communication skills with team members and leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies using hand and power tools per SOPs and work instructions.
• Integrate components into larger assemblies, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
• Follow detailed assembly drawings and written instructions.
• Perform basic in-process inspections to verify quality and identify defects.
• Support testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S standards.
• Accurately complete production documentation and track work performed.
• Communicate issues, material shortages, or defects to Team Lead or Supervisor promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement and team-based problem solving.
• Rotate between workstations and tasks as production needs require.
