Entry-Level Mechatronics Technician – Manufacturing

Job summary

Micron Technology seeks motivated interns who have completed a summer internship and are expected to convert. The role is entry-level, hands-on, and supports installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment.

You will work with experienced technicians and engineers, participate in onboarding and mentorship, and contribute to safety, quality, and process improvements in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate from a community/technical college in a relevant field such as Mechatronics, Electronics, or Industrial Maintenance
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and safety.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights or weekends if applicable
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and SOPs and document work accurately

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues
• Assist with equipment startups, qualifications, and process improvements
• Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and standard operating procedures
• Accurately document work performed and equipment status in maintenance systems
• Follow safety, quality, and cleanroom manufacturing protocols
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and facilities teams
• Participate in onboarding, technical training, and mentorship
