Job summary

JST Manufacturing in Meridian, ID is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to join the Engineering team and help design and develop custom wet processing equipment. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in mechanical design and manufacturing alongside an experienced team.

You will work on designing mechanical and automation systems, prepare drawings, support specifications, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer ship dates, while learning through collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 0–1 years engineering experience; internships welcomed.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD design.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and automation systems including plumbing and tanks.
• Support development of system specifications and update as requirements evolve.
• Prepare final engineering drawings and approval drawing layouts.
• Respond to manufacturing questions and verify products meet specs; update BOMs as needed.
• Prepare BOMs, routers and manufacturing instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering team to coordinate designs, communicate constraints, and develop solutions.
• Assist with project estimating and quoting by developing design concepts and cost inputs.
