Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• GPA above 3.0 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing mechanical systems for industrial facilities including biogas, water treatment, and bulk solids handling.
• Prepare design calculations and equipment specs for pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and piping.
• Review RFPs and contract documents and incorporate requirements into design.
• Generate and check PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and vendor drawings per codes and standards.
• Support construction team on-site, respond to RFIs, and provide design solutions.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners, review progress, and ensure project goals are met.
• Assist in developing project schedules, staffing, and task assignments.
• Perform early design work such as process flow diagrams and equipment sizing.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks to support department development.
