We are looking to fill a full-time Entry Level Mechanical Engineer position with a manufacturer located in Franklin/Bowling Green, KY.

Salary Range: $70,000 per year. No relocation assistance for entry level candidates.

Must Haves:

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Will not accept Mechanical Engineering Technology degree.
• Must be able to commute or relocate at your own expense.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage capital and kaizen projects in a time-critical environment.
• Provide analysis, evaluation, and review of problems regarding automation, advanced methods and equipment, material handling, layout, and material flow.
• Provide alternative solutions to technical and/or business-related manufacturing problems.
• Develop safeguards and improve team member safety through process improvements.
• Provide training and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams.
• Develop and coordinate new equipment specifications, tooling, and associated requirements.
• Design new or redesign existing equipment, coordinate its fabrication, installation, and startup.
• Provide daily leadership to maintenance personnel and support plant functions.
• Support 6S policies, production process improvements, data collection, and analysis.
• Support new equipment installation, maintenance systems, and budget preparations.
• Preferred: 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks), develop new products, communicate with sales and design teams.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of machine design, SolidWorks, tooling, machine installation, PFEMA, and statistical analysis.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with TPS, TPM, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Cost Justification, Continuous Improvement, Pokayoke.
