Day & Zimmermann in Greenville, SC seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer 1 to join the D&Z MC - Engineering division. You will work on drawings, calculations, and equipment selection under supervision, engaging with multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience in design coordination, constructability, cost evaluation, and contract administration, with mentoring from senior engineers in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with foundational knowledge.
• Open to entry-level candidates with 0+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain top secret clearance if duties require.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed engineering drawings using CADD, BIM, and Revit.
• Perform calculations related to load, pressure regain, and energy efficiency.
• Select and schedule mechanical equipment like fans and VAV units.
• Support contract administration tasks including submittals and RFIs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Participate in coordination meetings with architecture and engineering disciplines.
• Engage in continuous learning on standards and technologies.
