Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to support all project phases from inception to construction completion. You will work with senior designers and engineers, gaining experience and mentorship while contributing to designing mechanical and HVAC systems.

Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 0–3 years’ experience; EIT preferred. On-site role with up to 25% travel; salary $68k–$74k USD plus benefits and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

  • BS Mechanical Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program
  • 0-3 years professional Mechanical Engineering experience
  • EIT Certification preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with CAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, or other Mechanical system modeling/drafting software is highly preferred

Job Summary:

The Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer will support all phases of a project from inception to completion of construction. This role is designed to foster growth and nurture design talents, providing a solid foundation for a successful career in engineering. Reporting to a Team Lead and Project Manager, you will collaborate with senior designers and engineers to perform design tasks at all stages of design and construction.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement designs as directed by senior designers and engineers.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to design and detail new systems, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to quality assurance measures.
  • Participate in on-site observations, information gathering, and interactions with clients and contractors during both the design and construction phases.
  • Design mechanical and HVAC systems following written and verbal directions from senior designers or engineers.
  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines to ensure constructability and maintainability of engineered systems.

Qualifications:

Travel: Up to 25%

The expected base salary range for this role is $68k-74k USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

This role is also eligible forperformance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
