Job summary

Dewberry in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. You will contribute to the design and analysis of HVAC systems for diverse facilities and collaborate with multidiscipline engineers on projects across energy and infrastructure.

As an entry-level professional, you’ll gain hands-on experience, participate in site visits, and develop drawings and specifications using CAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Experience in HVAC is preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and meet deadlines.
• CAD and Revit proficiency; MS Word/Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

Projects may include; new multi-building facilities, retrofit projects, laboratory, mission critical facilities, as well as energy conservation studies, facility condition assessments, and due diligence reports addressing operating conditions and construction costs.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Experience in HVAC is preferred.
• Communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
• Aiblity to prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit preferred and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $82,500 - $85,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
