Job summary

Toshiba is seeking an entry-level Designer to join our West Allis, WI office. The Drafter/Designer will produce and maintain technical drawings for turbine and generator components and support design execution under supervision.

The role emphasizes foundational drafting skills, adherence to company standards, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams. 0–2 years of related experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in drafting or related field required.
• 0–2 years of drafting/design experience; internships acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, layouts, and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Assist in preparing manufacturing drawings and design documentation.
• Maintain bills of material and part records in PDM/ERP systems.
• Follow established drafting standards and quality requirements.
• Support engineers and designers by updating drawings with design changes.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Organize and manage technical documentation and revision history.
