Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking entry level Mechanical Designers in the Oak Ridge, TN or Lenexa, KS area. You will develop 3D models, create drawings, and support project goals with a growth mindset.

Ideal candidates have CAD/design education or related experience, are proficient with MicroStation/AutoCAD, and collaborate across teams to meet schedules and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/design documentation creation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with design documentation and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and maintain drawings using CAD tools.
• Incorporate RFIs, ECNs, and red-marked drawings into as-builts.
• Gather information for drawing development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Perform internal quality checks for safety and operability.
• Demonstrate understanding of piping layouts and field drawings.
• Participate in meetings and apply feedback.
