Belcan Corporation in Lynn, MA is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design cycle of mechanical subsystems and perform calculations, review drawings, and document testing.

Requires a BS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. U.S. citizen or permanent resident. We offer full-time with benefits including healthcare, 401(k), and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
• ASME Y14.5 2009 knowledge and tolerance analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire design cycle of mechanical subsystems, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, development testing and qualification.
• Perform engineering calculations to validate component and system design (free body diagrams, structural analysis, vibration analysis, flow analysis, and heat transfer analysis).
• Review manufacturing drawings to ensure form, fit and function.
• Perform tolerance stacks analysis in accordance with ASME Y14.5 2009.
• Work within a team environment to achieve project goals and complete tasks on time and on budget.
• Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware.
