Chesterton is hiring an entry-level Mechanical Assembler I for on-site work in Massachusetts. You will assemble Spring Energized Seals (SES) using hand tools and precision methods, identify materials, and perform basic quality checks while maintaining an orderly workspace.

Overtime may be required, with growth opportunities within a long‑standing manufacturing company. Ideal candidates are dependable, able to lift up to 35 lbs, and can follow established processes under supervision.

Qualifications

• Entry level; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
• Manual dexterity to use small hand tools.
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble SES using hand tools and magnifying glass.
• Join metal parts and form a permanent bond to specs.
• Identify and select materials for each SES.
• Perform simple in-process quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized bench per 5S.
