Job summary

i2Systems is seeking motivated, mechanically inclined individuals for an entry-level assembler role in Morris, CT. No prior manufacturing experience required; candidates with a technical background from a high school or postsecondary program are encouraged to apply.

The position focuses on hands-on assembly, following written and verbal instructions, and offers opportunities to learn additional product lines and assembly processes while developing skills in mechanical assembly and quality

Qualifications

Graduate of a four-year technical high school program or two-year postsecondary program preferred.
Technical education in electronics, electrical, electromechanical, manufacturing, mechanical technology, machining, automotive, or related hands-on field encouraged.
Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work.
Willingness and ability to learn new tools, equipment, products, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and follow basic written work instructions, diagrams, and procedures.
Ability to work with small components requiring good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Dependable with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently complete assigned assembly processes in a high-quality, repeatable manner.
Assemble components according to written and verbal work instructions and established procedures.
Position and connect parts in the proper sequence and relationship.
Operate tools, fixtures, and equipment used for fitting, fastening, testing, and assembly operations.
Inspect completed work and identify potential quality issues.
Learn additional assembly operations and product lines through hands-on training.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Wear required PPE and follow all company safety policies, processes, and procedures.
