Job summary

Gravity Power & Rental in Pecos, TX seeks an entry-level Mechanic 1 to support fleet maintenance and ensure equipment stays on the rental ready line. You will learn product knowledge, procedures, and quality standards at branch and regional levels to grow your career.

Essential duties include preventive maintenance, operating and testing equipment, and performing routine repairs under supervision. You will enter work orders, keep the shop organized, and participate in monthly trainings as

Qualifications

High School or GED required; some college preferred.
Must be 21+ and maintain insurability with company insurance.
Some knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; ability to read schematics.
Own a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs and services.
Ability to operate and test equipment and lift 50+ pounds.
Ability to read, write, and speak English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on Gravity-owned fleet.
Operate and test equipment to meet quality standards.
Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire and battery work, hydraulic hose repairs.
Diagnose rental equipment with supervision.
Enter work orders into fleet management system; maintain clean work area.
Complete safety and equipment trainings; on-call duties as required.
