Job summary

The Bergaila Companies is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanic (CDL) for assignment in West Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will assist in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of wastewater treatment plants and lift stations. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

This role may involve rotation on-call and requires a Class A CDL. You will work with equipment for rehabilitation, perform data entry, and support routine inspections and maintenance across the wastewater infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED obtained.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform record keeping/data entry.
• Record daily readings of equipment and processes.
• Clean and maintain facilities, buildings and grounds.
• Repair yards following maintenance procedures.
• Monitor inventory of parts, supplies and chemicals.
• Assist in inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes.
• Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system.
• Occasionally assist in locating utility lines.
• Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Programs for repairs of sewer lines, manholes and lift stations.
• May respond after hours to emergency situations.
