Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager for our Greenville field services team. No experience is required as you will learn to manage a variety of projects under guidance from senior project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities include daily report review, budget management, invoicing, change orders, and assisting with proposals. Career development opportunities include training and certification support to advance professionally.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology; note: Construction Management or certain Tech degrees may not be considered.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to obtain advanced licensure (EIT, PE, etc).
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Tasks supporting the management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review, collaborating with senior staff, providing resolutions of issues as they arise, and training field staff on your projects.
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, change orders, and assist with collection efforts.
• Assist with preparation of proposals for projects.
• Assistance with laboratory testing, soil classification, testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing and asphalt pavement, as needed.
