Job summary

Jobtailor in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a skilled pipefitter to join our shipyard team. You will fit and install pipes, valves and fittings across steel, copper and stainless materials, reading blueprints and following precise layouts.

Expect work at various heights, in confined spaces, and potential day or night shifts in a busy shipyard environment. Ideal candidates have NCCER certification and 1+ year marine/construction experience, with strong safety awareness and ability to work with diverse

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent pipefitting program; NCCER certification preferred.
1+ years in marine/shipbuilding/construction (nice to have).
Ability to read blueprints and trade drawings with metric/standard measurements.
Experience in layout, fit-up, fabrication and installation of pipe, flanges and valves.
Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Fit pipes made of steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless materials.
Install valves and fittings as per drawings and specs.
Use various tools and equipment to complete installations.
Read drawings/blueprints and ensure accurate layout and fit-up.
Work in production areas at different heights and confined spaces.
Follow shipyard safety procedures and industry standards; shift work as needed.
