Ohio Gratings, Inc. is seeking a Production Assistant to support material handling, machine setup, and general production tasks in our Canton, OH facility.

You will assist with staging, loading/unloading, basic inspections, labeling, and packaging while learning multiple production processes. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork to help sustain efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material handling, staging, and loading/unloading of steel and other materials.
• Support machine setup and operation across departments.
• Perform basic tasks: inspection, deburring, sorting, labeling, packaging.
• Move parts, scrap, and consumables between workstations and storage.
• Assist operators and fabricators while learning processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete ERP transactions for material usage, production reporting, and time tracking.
• Meet productivity and quality standards to support KPIs.
• Follow safe work practices to promote zero lost time.
