Job summary

East West Hospitality seeks an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician for The Charter in Beaver Creek. You will work with our Engineering team, receive on-the-job training, and gain hands-on experience with building systems, preventive maintenance, repairs, and resort operations.

This is an ideal entry point for someone starting a career in facilities engineering. The role emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and exceptional guest service, with a 2pm–10pm schedule Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Vocational training, an apprenticeship, or an associate degree in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, facilities maintenance, or related field is a plus.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools and learning building systems, safety procedures, and maintenance software.
• Able to identify basic maintenance issues, follow instructions, troubleshoot, and propose practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Keep things running: respond to guest/work orders and tackle repairs to keep the property safe and operating well.
• Complete daily inspections and preventive maintenance in units, common areas, and building support spaces.
• Get hands-on with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, equipment, and general repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building-system issues, identify repairs, and communicate solutions to the Engineering Manager.
• Learn from experienced engineers and contractors on repairs, installations, testing, and improvements.
• Document work completed, materials used, equipment information, and follow-up needs in the system.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and manage tools and inventory.
