Job summary

Simon Pearce is seeking a Maintenance Laborer at our Windsor, VT facility. This entry-level role focuses on basic maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with training provided. You will work with heavy machinery, operate a forklift, and help keep a safe, clean workplace.

Qualifications

• Motivated to learn
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
• GED required – High School Diploma preferred
• Interest in and some experience in a trade, such as painting, cleaning, carpentry or plumbing

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance with support from other members of the maintenance team (e.g. changing filters, drain cleaning, shoveling, etc.)
• Operate a forklift and material handling equipment on a daily basis
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; support snow removal and seasonal landscaping
• Regular inspections of hoist and forklift to ensure safe operating conditions
