Job summary

Butech Bliss in Salem, VA is seeking an Entry Level Machinist/Laborer to join our manufacturing team. You will support machining operations by reading simple blueprints, using measuring tools, and assisting with tooling changes as you learn CNC basics.

Qualifications

• Basic machinist/mechanical aptitude and ability to read simple blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Learn to run manual lathes and mills as needed.
• Make minor adjustments to tooling and CNC code or learn how to do so.
• Demonstrate ability to follow directions and apply skills.
• Keep the shop area clean as requested.

The Entry Level Machinist will:

• Must be able to demonstrate basic machinist/mechanical aptitude including the ability toread simple blueprints
• Accurately use measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.)
• Make minor adjustments to tooling and CNC code or ability to learn how to
• Ability to take direction and apply learned skills
• Clean shop area as requested
• Learn to run manual lathes/mills, experience a plus

Strong candidates for this position will meet the following expectations:

• Some machining experience
• Have completed machining classes in career school or otherwise
• Ability to work to close tolerancesWilling to work overtime as needed
