Job summary

BeInBA in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a Machinist - Compression Mold Tooling with hands-on experience in manufacturing, repairing and maintaining compression molds and tooling for our Production department. You will read blueprints, set up and operate manual mills and lathes, inspect parts, perform mold maintenance and document rework per procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience with rubber, plastic, composite or thermoset molding; welding and finishing are a plus and safety

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and CAD files.
• Experience operating a manual milling machine and a lathe.
• Welding and surface finishing experience is a plus.
• Experience with rubber, plastic, composite or thermoset molding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and repair compression molds.
• Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.

MACHINIST SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Tool & Die Supervisor, the Machinist will have experience, machining, building, repairing and maintaining various Molds and Tools for our Production department.

MACHINIST RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manufacture and repair compression molds.
• Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
• Setting up and operating conventional machines and machining centers to assist in the manufacture of compression molds and related fixtures.
• Perform mold maintenance.
• Verifying conformance of finished work to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Identify excessive defects on any particular component.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and CAD files.
• Perform all work safely, following all safety procedures.
• Process documentation associated with rework and nonconformance of manufactured products.

MACHINIST REQUIREMENTS

• Experience operating manual mill and lathe
• Experience with rubber, plastic, composite or thermoset molding a plus

• Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems
