Job summary

Jamco Products Inc., located in South Beloit, Illinois, is seeking a Machine Operator to feed and operate the Prima Power E-break or related punching/folding machines.

The role involves setting up, running, and tending machines to cut, punch, crimp, notch, bend parts per specifications. Shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturday as needed. Wage is $19.00/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Experience in manufacturing/metal fabrication preferred.
• Power tool experience required.
• Must be able to work 10-hour days.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used and tolerances.
• Position guides, stops, fixtures, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces.
• Start machines, select programs, monitor operations, and record data.
• Position, align, and secure work pieces on machine beds or dies.
• Measure finished work pieces using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.
• Inspect pieces for defects and sort accordingly.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubricating machines.
• Use forklifts and cranes to move parts as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
