Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation in Clearwater, Florida is hiring aMachine Operator 1 in our manufacturing team. This entry-level role trains you to operate or inspect a single work center, with cross-training across related functions and advancement opportunities through initiative and adaptability.

You will read work instructions, operate equipment to produce quality parts, maintain a clean 6S-compliant workspace, and communicate status with Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player and communicate well with others.
• Will train!
• Experience with Manufacturing process equipment, including measurement tools, preferred but will train the right person.
• Highschool Diploma or GED Required
• Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment test including background check and physical

Responsibilities

• Read and acknowledge the required work instructions for a single work center.
• Set up manufacturing equipment within standard time using documented procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 6S standards.
• Familiar with process chemicals and safety standards used in the work area.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
