West Fraser’s Angelina Lumber is hiring for an entry-level general labor role. The Operator Apprentice position is an entry-level role with training and cross-training opportunities within any department.

Responsibilities include lumberyard duties, stacking lumber, monitoring movement, quality checks, and safety observations, with work indoors or outdoors in any weather. Applicants must be 18+, have a good safety record, and be willing to work any shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Excellent safety record
• Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program
• Proven mechanical aptitude
• Capability to troubleshoot issues within the department and/or equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level lumberyard duties and housekeeping tasks.
• Stack lumber to required lengths.
• Monitor lumber movement and prevent cross-ups.
• Perform quality checks and safety observations.
• Operate equipment according to procedures and maintain area cleanliness.
