FIELDS LEXUS AND COLLISION CENTER GLENVIEW is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform basic maintenance tasks, communicate with customers, and support the parts department. You will document work, conduct road tests, and participate in manufacturer-sponsored training to stay current with new vehicle technologies.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Background and MVR Check Required

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, tire balancing and rotation, and cooling system flushes as outlined on repair orders.
• Check and adjust tire pressure.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
• Conduct road tests to ensure vehicle functionality.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
