Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) Knoxville is seeking an Entry-Level Lube Technician to join a friendly, team‑oriented environment. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and top‑tier customer service to help keep guests safe on the road, and you don’t need prior automotive experience to start.

Through our training program, you’ll learn to change oil, check fluids, rotate tires, test and replace batteries, inspect lights and wipers, and complete an 18‑point safety check.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and days as needed.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and customer focus.
• Ability to read and understand training materials and procedures.
• English reading/writing/speaking fluency.
• Stand for up to 8 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience.

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
• Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
• Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
