Stage Proaudio Corp in Miami, FL is seeking an entry-level Low Voltage Cabling Technician to support senior technicians during the prewire phase of residential and commercial projects.

You will run, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6, coax, fiber, and control wiring, learn wiring diagrams, and coordinate with other trades while following OSHA safety guidelines. This is a growth-focused role with potential advancement.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level position; prior construction or technical trade experience is helpful but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Technician with daily cabling tasks and installation activities at construction sites.
  • Prewire installation: Run and secure low-voltage cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber, and control wiring before drywall.
  • Cable routing and management: Install cables through framing, ceilings, conduits, and cable pathways with organized routing.
  • Termination and labeling: Terminate cables and label according to project documentation.
  • Plan and layout interpretation: Read wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation for proper cable placement.
  • Construction coordination: Work with other trades to ensure efficient workflow and avoid conflicts.
  • Safety compliance: Follow OSHA guidelines on active construction sites.
  • Project timeline support: Help maintain project schedules by completing tasks on time.
  • Worksite organization: Keep work areas clean and dispose of materials properly.

Position Summary

The Entry-Level Low Voltage Cabling Technician supports senior technicians in the installation of structured low-voltage wiring in residential and commercial construction projects. This position focuses primarily on the prewire phase, where all cabling infrastructure is installed before drywall and finishing stages.

The technician will assist with running, routing, securing, and organizing low-voltage cables to prepare the property for future systems such as data networks, audio/video, security, and automation.

This role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills and grow within the low-voltage and AV integration industry. With experience and training, entry-level technicians may advance to installation technician, lead technician, or project supervisor roles.
