Barnhart Logistics in North East, PA is seeking an entry-level Logistics Specialist to join the team and coordinate freight for direct customers. After training, hours will be Wednesday-Friday 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM & Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities include securing freight, building customer and carrier relationships, quoting rates, scheduling shipments, and data entry in a fast-paced office environment. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and reliable follow-through.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and follow-through.
• General computer knowledge is required.
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Secure freight of all kinds and all equipment types for direct customers
• Build and maintain customer and carrier business relationships to improve transportation efficiencies for them
• Quote, bid, and negotiate rates with customers and freight carriers
• Schedule and track shipments from start to finish and report back to the customer
• Contribute to and be involved in team and individual goals
• Data entry and basic math
• Other duties as assigned
