Job summary

Renegade Group is seeking an entry-level C Class Lineman to assist in constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. The role reports to a Journeyman Lineman or Foreman and emphasizes safety, skill development, and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities include assisting with installations, pole work, transformers and components, general site tasks, and documentation, with heavy emphasis on safety and OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior line work required but preferred
• Willingness to complete required training and apprenticeship progression
• Valid Class A or B CDL

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground distribution lines
• Support pole setting, framing, and removal operations
• Assist with installing transformers, switches, insulators, conductors, and related hardware
• Perform ground work including digging, backfilling, and material handling
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials
• Operate equipment and tools as qualified and directed
• Learn proper climbing techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow all OSHA, NESC, and company safety rules and procedures
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs
• Assist with outage response, storm restoration, and emergency work as needed
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Accurately complete basic work documentation as required
