Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a team-oriented cook to accurately prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold foods for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special Events. You will uphold recipes, safety standards, and customer service excellence while working with a range of kitchen equipment at City of Hope’s facilities.

The role requires 0–2 years of related experience, a High School diploma or GED, and knowledge of basic kitchen operations and cash handling.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related kitchen or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic equipment operation and cash-handling procedures suggested.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot and cold items to order.
• Operate grill and other kitchen equipment as directed.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and plating standards.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation per City of Hope standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain clean work stations.
