Job summary

Bonded Lightning Protection Systems, Ltd. in Abilene, TX is seeking an Entry Level Installation Apprentice to begin a formal apprenticeship in lightning protection. You will receive hands-on training to become a field technician with the nation's leading lightning protection contractor.

Employment is project-based, with training on reading blueprints, installing grounding systems, and cabling. A strong safety focus, 401(k) and insurance benefits, and Union affiliation after 90 days are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable on ladders, lifts, high rises and pitched roofs.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and clear MVR.
• Minimum of 1 year lightning protection installation or general construction experience.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Learn nationally recognized standards governing the lightning protection industry while receiving hands-on installation training.
• Develop skills through project-based training with durations of 2 to 10 years depending on growth.
• Assist with installing grounding systems and cabling on roofs and in buildings.
