Job summary

Amentum Advanced Solutions is seeking a Software Programmer Entry Level to support NI LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control projects for defense and aerospace clients. You will collaborate with engineers and business professionals to deliver solutions on schedule and within scope.

The role offers hands-on experience with LabVIEW, Redis, Kafka, MSSQL, Git, and general OOP software practices. Requires a BS in CS/CE/EE with a software concentration and US citizenship for security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a software concentration from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong foundation in software development fundamentals, including object-oriented design and version control.
• Experience with LabVIEW/C/C++/C#/.NET or similar OOP languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team to design, develop, and deliver software applications and data acquisition projects.
• Desire to develop inventive approaches to challenges and drive innovation.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software modules for data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW, C#, and .NET.
• Integrate hardware and software for real-time data acquisition platforms (NI PXI/cRIO).
• Contribute to relational database development with SQL Server; schema design and data integration.
• Collaborate on system architecture using OO design and patterns.
• Participate in code reviews and Git workflows to ensure quality.
• Document features and testing procedures for internal and client use.
• Assist in testing and troubleshooting of complex systems.
• Track progress and develop risk mitigation plans as needed.
• Support field deployment and commissioning of software solutions across environments.
