Parkside Utility Construction, LLC in Bethel Park, PA is seeking an Entry Level Laborer to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with fiber/telecom installation and maintenance. You will assist with tools, parts, and materials, and help prepare job sites in a field environment.

The role requires being 18+, having a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to become certified as a pole climber. Candidates should be prepared for varied weather and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified.
• Prior labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Move buckets/trucks and equipment as directed.
• Complete door-tagging and resident notifications before work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging with shovels and mechanical tools.
• Flag traffic following local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and on-call duties as required.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

What you'll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
