Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is hiring entry-level labor for our Shasta Lake, California sawmill. This full-time position offers on-site work with opportunities to train, advance, and move across roles within the plant from production to maintenance and supervision.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Become an entry-level production laborer with opportunities to learn across plant sites including production, equipment maintenance, and supervision.
• Learn to operate at various machine stations within the facility.
• Shovel, rake, and sweep wood byproducts.
• Stack and pile lumber.
• Work is fast-paced and may be demanding with repetitive lifting.
• Shifts vary with potential overtime and weekend work during busy production times.

About The Position

• Find yourself on a new career path as an entry‑level production laborer with opportunity to learn and explore many jobs within the plant site including production, equipment maintenance, and supervision
• Learn to fill in on various machine stations at our manufacturing facility
• Shovel, rake, and sweep wood byproducts
• Stack and pile lumber
• The work is fast‑paced and can, at times, be demanding
• Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments
• Work may consist of varied shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times

Qualifications
