Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking an entry-level Corporate Laboratory Technician to execute tests for quality monitoring across the company, following established methods and lab practices with safety in mind.

On training completion, you will log data in LIMS or logs, assist with routine and project sample testing, and report off-quality findings to the Lab Manager while maintaining instrumentation and following SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Some college-level coursework in science and math
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel

Responsibilities

• Execute testing per lab procedures and policies manual
• Log samples and results in LIMS, workbooks or Certificate of Analysis
• Assist in coordination and execution of routine and project sample testing
• Report off-quality findings to Lab Manager
• Maintain, operate and validate instrumentation with knowledge of equipment functionality
• Follow directions and Standard Operating Procedures accurately
• Communicate special testing/sample needs to other divisions within the company
• Fulfill customer proposal requests
• Know company products and specifications; knowledge of office functions, UPS procedures, sample logs, result archiving and retrieval and ordering lab supplies
• All other duties as assigned by Lab Manager
