The Lab Technician is responsible for running specific tests and assisting in preparing and processing samples, reflecting the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay rate: $17.13 - $24.56 per hour (dependent on education & experience)

Essential Functions:

  • Perform administrative tasks supporting lab sample processing
  • Open, sort, and prepare samples for testing
  • Sort into trays, label bottles, and prepare daily sheets
  • Dilute samples for ICP, perform visual checks, and program ICP computer
  • Prepare hard copies and send data upon completion
  • Conduct physical tests such as viscosities, water, fuel, and glycol contamination
  • Run FTIR tests, select reference oils, and transfer data to computer
  • Process Level I Coolant and fuel samples
  • Perform particle count and PQ tests
  • Document visual notes on coolant, fuel, and oil samples
  • Assist in running verification and rush samples, and maintain lab equipment
  • Cross-train in other areas such as registration and evaluation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of administrative/clerical experience
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • At least 1 year of technical or mechanical experience

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, using hands, hearing
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Skills in data entry, communication, organization, reasoning, and math
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and basic DBS knowledge

Work Environment:

  • Quiet indoor setting
