Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Fairmont, WV. The role supports accessioning, sorting, labeling, and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory environment with a 5:00pm–9:30pm Monday–Friday shift.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens for analysis, routing, packing and shipping to testing facilities, and ensuring accuracy in patient data. Requires a High School diploma/GED and ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
