Job summary

Labcorp in Earth City, MO is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. You will prepare laboratory specimens, unpack and route them, label accurately, and ensure proper storage and data entry of patient information.

This role supports production goals and requires a high school diploma; preferred candidates have 1 year of lab, accessioning, production, warehouse experience and comfort handling specimens. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits.

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in Earth City Branch, 4030 Wedgeway Ct, Earth City, MO

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am, Overtime and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
