Island Veterinary Hospital in Coram, NY is seeking a Kennel Assistant / Animal Care Attendant to support our boarding and hospital care teams. This entry-level role requires a compassionate approach to animal care and a willingness to train on-site.

We offer full-time or part-time hours with a competitive hourly wage, weekend and holiday coverage as needed, and opportunities for growth into Veterinary Assistant training and expanded hospital responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Cares for boarding and hospitalized pets.
• Feeds, walks, and monitors animals.
• Maintains hospital cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Observes pets and reports concerns to medical staff.
• Assists with laundry, stocking, and daily hospital upkeep.
• Provides comfort and enrichment to animals in our care.

Responsibilities
