Job summary

SynergisticIT in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 6-month contract to design and build robust software quality processes across the SDLC. The role focuses on backend systems built with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, with cloud-native deployment expertise.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to testing, monitoring, and production support using key tools and databases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architectures with Kafka, ActiveMQ, Apache Camel.
• Deploy and manage applications on AKS using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB.
• Perform testing and monitoring with JUnit, JMeter, Datadog, ELK; provide production support.

Overview

Experienced Software Engineer with 8+ years of expertise across the full SDLC, specializing in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native development. Proven ability to design, build, and deploy scalable backend systems with exposure to frontend technologies and strong collaboration in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot

Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, ActiveMQ, and Apache Camel

Deploy and manage applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Docker and Kubernetes

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and YAML-based automation

Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB)

Perform testing, monitoring, and production support using JUnit, JMeter, Datadog, and ELK stack
