Job summary

The City of Santa Clara Police Department is seeking an entry-level, non-sworn candidate. Incumbents will be assigned to the Basic Peace Officer Academy and must satisfactorily pass all requirements to obtain the POST certificate before becoming sworn officers.

Performs related duties as assigned. To be considered for screening, applicants must upload a WSTB score; certificates should be dated within the last year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D.
• Three (3) years experience requiring considerable contact with the general public.
• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment.

Responsibilities
