Primetals Technologies USA, LLC is seeking a 2nd shift Mechanic at our Huger, SC facility. The role involves maintaining production machinery and performing preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation on customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver license and experience with industrial maintenance, measuring instruments, and safe working practices. Applicants must pass pre-employment physicals and drug screens. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver license.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments.
• Preferred candidates will possess previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on production machines.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices and using measuring instruments.
• Removes defective parts and uses hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools.
• Sets and adjusts equipment by inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers.
• Controls downtime through effective routine maintenance.
